Baby Shower List

okay.. I had quite a few people ask me what I still needed for the baby. These are just ideas of what I've been told that I needed. And as you can see by the baby-blog, David & I were able to purchase some of the more expensive items like the car-seat & bassinet. Now I think I just need the smaller items. I've listed a couple of things on here that I'm not very familiar with in Australia. lol. Anyway, I hope this helps for those who lost like me when it comes to getting baby stuff for people. hee-hee! :P

Hand Knitted Outfit from Puerto Rico! :)

I'm so ecstatic. My mother just received a gift in the mail for Kiara all the way from Puerto Rico from the lovely Lillian Maldonado. A dear friend of ours.

She's the one standing next to my Mother in the photo above.

(ABOVE PIC): The last time I saw her was at our
Thanksgiving Dinner at my Mother's house in 2010.
I'm taking the photo.. so that's why you don't see me in this one.

(ABOVE PIC): Anyway, this is the lovely gift she sent to my Mother's house
for Kiara. I cannot wait to get it in the mail out here & try it on her when she's
fattened up enough. lol.

It's such an authentic novelty!
Hand-knitted with a matching headband &
booties all the way from Puerto Rico! So adorable!

Cribs finally Assembled!

Okay.. David & I finally assembled the Bassinet we purchased from "Baby Buntings". It took forever but we figured it out. hee-hee. It's made by Fisher Price & called, "My Little Lamb". The mattress dimensions for this small Bassinet we got below is: 825 x 400 x 22 mm.

(Fisher Price My Little Lamb Bassinet)
(ABOVE PIC): David & I finally had time to assemble the bassinet together.

(ABOVE PIC): Here's the "Baby Mobile" it came with. I read the reviews
about this particular bassinet & many people were saying this would get in
the way of them trying to get the baby in. So, hopefully, it won't cause too
many problems. lol.

(ABOVE PIC): And I though the "Mattress Cover"
it came with was pretty cute with all of the little lambs.

(ABOVE PIC): And I got this "Travel Netting Sheet" that you can place over
pretty much anything. It's really meant for being outside with the baby
so the bugs will keep away.. but I got it also so that my cat will stay away
from it & also so that cat hair won't float into the crib. :)

Below is the other (COT/CRIB) we put together that was handed down by David's cousin Jim & his wife Katherine. They were very generous to us with many of their hand-me-downs. After about 3 months or so, I'll start placing Kiara in this one. She'll be able to fit into it  until she's about (1-2 years old). The little baby mobile holder was an addition that we added on.. so we can hang pretty much anything from there later.
This mattress is: 91 x 40 x 7 cm

(Hand Me Down - Baby Swinging Crib)

We have one more Cradle that is currently at David's Mother's house for safe-keeping that was also given to us by Jim & Katherine... which Kiara will fit into until she's about 5 or even 6... I think?

Well, I still have a long way to go with the baby room. And I'm still not yet sure where I'll place what. We still need to get a "Changing Table" and "Dresser" so far. And I'm also not sure what I'll place up on the walls either. May the Lord grant me with ideas to decorate her room nicely. :o)

Some Gifts From Grandma to Kiara in the Mail

I've been meaning to post this for quite sometime now. But here are a few of the items my Mother got for our little Kiara Grace. I received these in the mail a while ago.. I just haven't had time to post!

 (ABOVE PIC): A floral baby onesie/bodysuit with a butterfly & a polka-dot one with a turtle! :)

(ABOVE PIC): A sweet soft white little baby robe! How totally adorable.

(ABOVE PIC): Here's a close up of the little duck on the front.

(ABOVE PIC): Here's the back. My Mom took the liberty to make it
custom embroidery of her last name, "STAMPEK" on the back of it.
Isn't that adorable?

 (ABOVE PIC): Here's a close-up!

Thank you Mom for going through the trouble of making this & shipping it to us. We so grateful & will always treasure it! I will most-likely be using it for any future children God might bless us with. :) hee-hee!

1st Baby Shower ~ Thank You Cards

okay.. so here are the Thank you cards I made for David's Family's Baby Shower. Although, it doesn't look like much work.. it really was! And I've still got a few more to do.. but I have to run back to the store to get a couple more blank cards to finish it out.
(ABOVE PIC): 1st. So I took the old drawing I had of us..
and re-drew it a bit & edited it to look like this.. I added in
the "Thank You" in the Speech Bubble. And then laminated
a whole bunch of these.. so that they wouldn't get easily ruined.

(ABOVE PIC): 2nd. Next, I taped it to the inside of the blank card as shown above.

(ABOVE PIC): 3rdly, I printed out photos of us that included
what each person got us.. as well as a photo of us
along with a photo taken of the person we were sending it to.

(ABOVE PIC): 4th, I had a large sheet of this dotted gift paper
& cut it to fit the size of the card and placed
one between each photo to protect them.

(ABOVE PIC): 5th, I finally finished it up after writing a personal message
to each individual person who came to the baby-shower thanking them
for all they did.

(ABOVE PIC): 6th.  And Lastly, I put all the addresses
on each of the envelopes to be mailed out
